Are the four popular tales making sense?
1.

2.
3.

4.

Kinugawa is a variation from the river Kenugawa, which used to run through Kenunokuni.
The river roars across like a furious monster, and hence the name
People from silk village washed silks in the spring long time ago. It thereafter got the name silk river (Kinu Gawa) and later became Kinugawa (with same pronunciation but different kanjis, which means the river of angry monster)
Name is sourced from Marsh Kinu.

It's said the 2nd explanation is making most sense and convincing. What do you think?
There was another road along the river besides the current Aizu Western Street at this place in the past. The road was called Kawa Road and later became the current Kawaji.

So it's easy to understand, right?
